Ingredients

We don’t expect blind trust.

Every ingredient used in the products we support is there for a reason—function, performance, or stability. Not trend, not marketing language, and not because it “sounds good” on a label.

If you’re the kind of person who reads ingredient lists, you’re in the right place.

Purpose over popularity

Our makers choose ingredients based on what they do—not how often they show up in marketing.

Fewer, better inputs

More ingredients doesn’t mean better results. It usually means the opposite.

Our makers keep formulations tight, intentional, and free of unnecessary additions.

Balance matters

Cleansing, conditioning, and skin feel all have to work together.

Too much of one usually creates problems elsewhere. Our makers avoid that.

Tested, not assumed

Where appropriate, formulations are evaluated for consistency and quality—not just created and labeled.

Essential Oils

When used, essential oils are used in controlled, skin-appropriate amounts.

They provide a subtle, natural scent that fades—because it’s not engineered to linger unnaturally.

🚫 WHAT WE DON’T USE

We avoid ingredients that don’t meaningfully contribute to performance or that introduce unnecessary risk.

That includes:

  • Synthetic fragrances
  • Artificial colorants
  • Filler ingredients
  • Trend-driven additives with no clear function

🔍 TRANSPARENCY STANDARD

Every product page includes:

  • Full ingredient list
  • Clear naming (no hiding behind vague terms)
  • Context for why ingredients are included

If something is in the formula, you should be able to understand it.

⚖️ A NOTE ON “NATURAL”

“Natural” isn’t a regulated or particularly useful term.

What matters is:

  • How an ingredient performs
  • How it’s sourced
  • Whether it belongs in the formulation

That’s the standard we use.

🧪 QUALITY & CONSISTENCY

Our maker's make products in small batches, which can result in slight visual variation.

That’s normal.

What doesn’t change:

  • Formulation
  • Ingredient quality
  • Performance

Why? Because...

You shouldn’t need a chemistry degree to understand what you’re using.

Just clear information—and a product that holds up.
